If you can see your stream on YouTube, but see the following message when trying to view through fan engagement apps or matchcentres, then third party embedding has yet to be enabled on YouTube:

By default, YouTube customers will be allowed automatic embedding on third party sites (such as a matchcentre or fan engagement app) when the account has at least 1000 subscribers and at least 4000 hours of watch time in the past year. There is a good thread to read, which describes this in further detail here.

You can, however, turn this on manually. Until your account reaches the parameters set by YouTube for automatic embedding, you will need to turn this on for each of your streams. To do this:
  1. Log in to your YouTube channel as the owner or manager and navigate to YouTube Studio.
    • You can access YouTube Studio via the link on the bottom left of your screen (if on a computer) or by visiting studio.youtube.com in your browser.
  2. Select Content from the menu on the left-hand side.
  3. Click on the Live tab at the top.
  4. Locate the video or stream you want to embed, and check the associated box(es).
    • Note: You’ll need to enable this setting for each individual stream.
  5. Click Edit and select Embedding.
  6. Don’t forget to click the Update videos button and confirm the change by ticking “I understand the implications of this action.”

Your live stream will now embed successfully in your Matchcentre and Fan Engagement Apps.
