As outlined in the FrogBox Terms and Conditions, clubs have always been required to ensure all participants have provided consent before streaming. The recent updates in PlayHQ and FrogBox Go now make this process easier to manage electronically. They also give Cricket Australia greater comfort in making junior cricket content available via the Play Cricket and FrogBox Play apps - making it more enjoyable for everyone involved in the game.

In line with Cricket Australia's Safe Streaming Guidelines and commitment to safeguarding children and young people, consent confirmation in FrogBox Go is required before each stream can go live.

Streaming Consent Requirements:

  • Consent confirmation is required for all matches in Australia - Junior and Senior.
  • Consent must be confirmed even if no junior players are taking part.
  • Consent confirmation is required within 72 hours of each scheduled stream start time, up until the stream is scheduled to end.
  • If consent is not confirmed, the scheduled stream will not go live.
  • Junior matches with confirmed consent will appear in the FrogBox Play and Play Cricket apps, making it easier for families and players to watch and share highlights.

How to confirm streaming consent:

Step 1: Schedule your stream

Go to Schedule Stream and select the match to be streamed. Tap Next to schedule your stream as per the normal process.

Step 2: Wait until it is within 72 hours of the scheduled match

The consent confirmation prompt only becomes available inside the 72-hour window before your scheduled stream’s start time.

Step 3: Confirm consent

Once you’re within that 72-hour window, look for the Confirm button next to your scheduled stream. This is located on the Home page, under Upcoming Streams, or in the Manage Stream section.

When confirming, your club is confirming that consent has been obtained from any under-18 participant, or that none are expected to appear in the stream.

Confirmation can be completed at any point within the 72-hour prior to the stream start time. Confirmation can also be provided after your stream was scheduled to start right up until the scheduled end time of the stream.

To assist with this confirmation process, clubs can review the consent preferences for their team as well as the opposition team in PlayHQ (here's how).

The stream will go live once consent has been confirmed and will be reflected in your club's list of upcoming streams with a green tick consent icon.

If consent is not confirmed, the stream will not go live.
