What is a neutral match?

A neutral match is any game that doesn’t involve your own team. Examples include:

  • An association asking you to host and stream a cup final at your ground

  • A charity match or special event involving other teams (with prior approval from the FrogBox Sales team)

Always confirm with FrogBox Support before streaming a neutral match. Please submit a ticket via the following link:

You may need to purchase a one-off streaming pass for the event.

Managing neutral matches (games not directly involving your own team) isn’t the usual process, as you won’t automatically see these fixtures in FrogBox. To help, here’s the process to follow:

Who Can Schedule the Match?

Neutral matches must be scheduled under one of the entities involved - for example:

  • The association

  • One of the competing teams

This must be agreed with the relevant teams, and there must be a valid streaming pass in place.
If you’re unsure, please reach out to FrogBox Support before setting anything up.

What You Need to Provide

When requesting a neutral match, please share:

  1. Which encoder you’ll use – so we can link it to the correct account.

  2. The match link.

  3. Any special graphics requirements for the stream.

FrogBox Go Access Options

Depending on permissions:

  • With permission from an association or competing team
We can give you temporary (or permanent) access to the relevant FrogBox Go account. This lets you:

    • Schedule the match yourself

    • Monitor the stream

    • Update graphics as required

  • Without permission (or if you’d prefer not to be linked to another account)
FrogBox Support will handle scheduling and graphics packages for you.

What You Can Still Do on Match Day (without access to the stream)

Even if Support are managing the stream, you can still log in to your own FrogBox Go account and do the following:

  1. Go to Manage Encoders in the left-hand menu

  2. Find your encoder number

  3. Click Show Video Preview

  4. Run diagnostics

Please note: You won’t be able to edit stream details (title, times, privacy settings), mute audio, toggle graphics, start the stream early, or find the YouTube link. For any of these, contact Support.

Important: Back-to-Back Matches

If there are consecutive neutral matches, you must ask FrogBox Support to end the first stream before the next can begin.

Following this process will ensure neutral matches run smoothly, with the right permissions and support in place.
