Before attaching your FrogBox V2 camera to the tripod for the first time, you’ll need to prepare the included camera mount and ensure the thread adapter is set correctly.

This quick setup only takes a few minutes and ensures your camera can securely attach to the tripod for streaming.

What’s Included

The camera mount is stored inside the top section of the FrogBox V2 tripod and includes:

  • Camera mounting plate
  • Reversible thread adapter

Important: Correct Thread Size for FrogBox Cameras

The included mount features a reversible threaded insert with two thread sizes.

FrogBox cameras require the 1/4-inch thread setting.

If the mount is set to the alternate thread size, the camera will not attach correctly.

How to Prepare the Camera Mount

Step 1: Remove the Mount from the Tripod

Locate the camera mount stored inside the top of the tripod and remove it carefully.

Step 2: Check the Thread Adapter

Inspect the threaded insert on the mount.

You’ll notice the adapter can be reversed depending on the thread size required.

Step 3: Reverse the Thread Insert (If Required)

If the incorrect thread size is facing upward:

  1. Unscrew and remove the threaded insert
  2. Reverse the insert
  3. Reinstall it with the 1/4-inch thread facing upward

Step 4: Attach the Mount to the Camera

Once the correct thread size is set:

  1. Align the mount with the base of the FrogBox camera
  2. Screw the mount firmly into place
  3. Ensure it is secure, but avoid overtightening

Step 5: Clip the Camera onto the Tripod

With the mount attached, you can now quickly clip the camera onto the tripod whenever you’re ready to stream.
