The Manage Stream section allows you to make alterations to the settings against your club's upcoming Scheduled Streams. This article assumes that your account has already been linked to your YouTube channel.

Step 1: Go the 'Manage Stream' and select the relevant scheduled match.

Step 2: Here you can select your required privacy setting.

Step 3: Ensure you select the correct encoder 9if you have more than one FrogBox kit).

Step 4: Choose your required graphics package (if you have more than one).

Step 5: Scroll down to ensure your Configuration looks good.

  1. The Stream title and Stream description are how your stream will appear on YouTube.
  2. The Home and Away team abbreviation and Home and Away team full names are how your team names will appear in your stream's scorecard, and cannot be changed one the service goes live.

Step 7: Note FrogBox Go the Service notification bar will notify you when your Service goes live (1 hour prior to the scheduled match start). This will be when your preview becomes available.

Step 8: Approximately 1 hour prior to the scheduled match start, the Service notification bar will inform you how long before your stream will go live on YouTube.

Step 9: Your preview should now be available under Preview Stream. If this isn't appearing but the camera connection indicator is green, consider hitting the refresh button in your browser.

Step 10: If you wish to start your stream sooner, press the blue Start YouTube stream at the bottom of the screen.

Step 11: A dialogue box will ask you to confirm.

Step 12: Please note that once your service is live, you can mute your audio or toggle your graphics on and off.

Step 13: Once your match is over, you may wish to Stop Stream for one or all of the following reasons:

  1. To allow another stream to start, for example if you have back to back matches (NB. it is essential to do this if you wish to stream again immediately afterwards).
  2. To keep your data usage down if using 4G.
  3. To keep your videos tidy on YouTube.

Step 14: A dialogue box will ask you to confirm. NB. This is irreversible, so ensure you are certain the stream needs to be terminated. If this is done in error, reach out to FrogBox Support immediately.

Step 15: Your YouTube stream has now been stopped.

IMPORTANT

If you see a "Service has encountered an error" message, this may have been caused by one of your club admins logging into YouTube Studio and selecting "No, it's not made for kids" for this stream. This may happen because you wish to add a chat window to your stream, which is only possible with "No, it's not made for kids" selected in YouTube Studio.

In order for the stream to work, the owner or manager of your YouTube channel will need to revert back to selecting "Yes, it's made for kids" and saving (see Set your channel or video’s audience - Computer - YouTube Help for further guidance). You will then need to return to your Manage Stream page, and make any change, in order to bring up the "Save Changes" button. This could be as simple as adding a space to your stream title. Select "Save Changes" and you should see the service error disappear.

If you need to add chat functionality to your stream in YouTube Studio, we recommend waiting until the stream has started before making the change.
