We know how much parents and kids love reliving the action - those classic wickets, big shots and unforgettable moments.

Until now, Australian junior match content hasn’t been available in the Play Cricket or FrogBox Play apps, making it harder to rewatch or share highlights. That’s all changing this summer.

From 24 September, junior match live streams and highlights will appear in both apps once parental/guardian or under-18 player consent has been confirmed in FrogBox Gokeeping players safe while giving families and fans an easy way to watch and celebrate the next generation of grassroots cricket.

Below is a closer look at what’s changing to keep FrogBox in line with Cricket Australia’s updated Safe Streaming Guidelines and ensure a safe experience for everyone.

What’s New This Season

1. New Consent Check in FrogBox Go

To enable streaming, Australian clubs must confirm consent for any under-18 participants within 72 hours of the scheduled stream. If consent isn’t confirmed, the stream will not go live. Here's how to confirm consent in FrogBox Go.

Clubs currently collect consent in a variety of ways including paper forms, emails and/or verbal agreements. This season, PlayHQ now provides a simple digital tool where under-18 players or their parents/guardians can record their consent preferences during registration or at any point throughout the season (click here for a how-to guide), and PlayHQ club administrators can easily review these preferences when confirming consent in FrogBox Go before each scheduled stream (click here for a how-to guide).

2. Consented Junior Matches Now on the Fan Apps

Junior matches with confirmed consent will appear in the Play Cricket and FrogBox Play apps, making it easy for families and players to watch and share the highlights.

What Can I Do Now to Prepare?

1. Prompt under-18 players to confirm their consent in PlayHQ

To ensure every under-18 participant is ready for streaming, clubs should encourage underage players and their parents/guardians to update their consent preferences in PlayHQ as soon as possible (here's how). Cricket Australia provides an email template to assist clubs with this prompt (view here).

3. Consider any already scheduled matches for 24 September onwards

If your club has matches already scheduled for 24 September onwards, make sure to set yourself a reminder as your club will need to confirm consent for these matches in FrogBox Go within 72 hours of the match. Without this confirmation, your stream won’t go live.
