A factory reset will reset your FrogBox Camera to its original settings. It is recommended to complete a factory reset if you experience issues or want to clear all configurations.


Here's how:


Step 1: Hold the button on the camera for 8 seconds

Step 2: Watch for white LED warnings (blink rate increases as you hold):

  • 5 seconds - White blink - Warning 1
  • 6 seconds - Faster white blink - Warning 2
  • 7 seconds - Rapid white blink - Last chance to release
  • 8 seconds - Very rapid white blink - Reset executing


Step 3: The camera will reboot automatically. Camera settings will return to defaults and any saved preferences in the FrogBox Connect app will need to be reconfigured.


Step 4: Once reset, you'll need to pair your phone/tablet with your camera again.

What gets reset:


Cleared (reset to defaults):

  • All camera settings (zoom, focus, exposure, white balance, etc.)
  • All Bluetooth bonding information
  • Microphone volume settings
  • HDMI colour space configuration
  • Image stabilisation mode
  • Tilt angle settings

Preserved (not cleared):

  • Factory calibration data (battery, accelerometer)
  • Manufacturing data (serial numbers)
  • Firmware version
